Larne's Civic Remembrance Service in First Larne

On Sunday 13th November 2016 Larne's Civic Remembrance Service takes place in First Larne Presbyterian Church at 11.30am in the presence of Her Majesty's Deputy Lord Lieutenant for County Antrim, Mr. David McCorkell. The minister of First Larne, the Rev. Dr. Colin McClure, will conduct the service and preach on the theme "A Bridge to the Future". 100 copies of a limited-edition pamphlet "Irish Presbyterians and the First World War" will be available.

Wreaths will be placed at the congregational memorials by a representative of the Mid and East Antrim Council and a wreath-laying party from First Larne. They will be accompanied by representatives of our youth organisations.

This year a wreath will be placed at the memorial for Constable Edward Spence on this 25th anniversary of his murder.

The service will conclude with a short act of remembrance.

All members of the community are welcome.
